856 Prospective Umrah Pilgrims Arrived in Indonesia – As many as 856 candidates for Indonesian Umrah pilgrims arrived in the country. They were sent home early because of a temporary suspension policy for access to Saudi Arabia.
“Our record, until tonight there are 856 pilgrims who have returned to their homeland,” said Director of Bina Umrah and Special Hajj Arfi Hatim in a written statement, Sunday, March 1, 2020.
The pilgrims’ flights transit in three countries, namely Singapore, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Malaysia. A total of 504 pilgrims transit in the United Arab Emirates, 112 worshipers in Singapore, and 240 worshipers in Malaysia.
856 Prospective Umrah Pilgrims Arrived in Indonesia
Special pilgrims who transit in the UAE, they were sent home with four aircraft. The airlines used were two from Etihad Airways (EY) and two from Emirates Airlines (EK).
Pilgrims who were sent home using 248 EY, with details of 124 with EY 471. They are the pilgrims of the Pilgrim Umrah Travel Organization (PPIU) of Babul Umrah, the PPIU Andiarta Dewata, and 52 of PPIU Aryati Wisata Mandiri pilgrims.
The remaining 124 pilgrims flew with EY 474 aircraft. They consisted of 31 PPIU Andiarta Dewata pilgrims, 52 PPIU Aryati Wisata Mandiri pilgrims and 41 PPIU Babul Umrah pilgrims.
Then, 128 pilgrims flew with EK 359. Consisting of 76 pilgrims from PPIU Pesona Mozaik, 30 pilgrims from PPIU Balubaid Ikhwan, and 22 pilgrims from PPIU Mutiara Ajwah.
The rest were repatriated using EK 356 aircraft. They consisted of 30 pilgrims from the PPIU Balubaid Ikhwan, 76 pilgrims from PPIU Pesona Mozaik, and 22 pilgrims from PPIU Mutiara Ajwah. Hack Bandar Ceme
240 pilgrims who transit in Malaysia have also arrived in Indonesia. They have returned to their hometown gradually.
There are 112 congregations that transit in Singapore and all of them have returned to Indonesia with SCOOT, said Arfi.
